I am directed to inform you that it is possible

that still further requisitione by the Admiralty of British

shipping engaged in the Far Eastern Trade may be necessary, but

that in making these the vital local requirements of the Colony

will be considered to the extent of requisitioning at the request

of the Colonial Government erall British tonnage to meet such

requirements.

I am therefore to invite you to join a Committee

which the Governor proposes to appoint to ocnsider what temPSPE=

are the vital requirements of the Colony and what British tonnage

is necessary to meet such requirements.
